Do You Know About The Most Underrated Yet Effective Way Of Making Money?

The WORTH framework gets you to the wealthy end of the rainbow tequila in hand

The most effective way to make money is simple really.?

If you are a working woman not making money equal to your worth, you may feel the Gender Pay Gap is responsible. The Gender Pay Gap is real. It is in your face & unmissable, like Kim Kardashian’s posterior.

But set it aside now! You will master the art of making money if you have control over this one factor. The art of asking the right questions. Because these questions will determine your WORTH.

Ramit Sethi wrote a brilliant book called “I Will Teach You To Be Rich”. In this book he talks about asking $30,000 questions vs asking $3 questions.

Are you asking $3 questions like “should I park my money in riskier deposits that earn me 1% more?” or “should I take the bus to work today rather than a taxi?” They are akin to asking who’s going to inherit the Queen’s jewellery. They will make no difference to your money life in short.

$30,000 questions are different. They have got to do with knowing, being comfortable with & asking your WORTH.

Some $30,000 questions you should be asking yourself as a salaried employee wanting to earn more money:

  1. Do I consider job changes/ year end reviews as opportunities. To ask for meaty roles & higher salaries. If not, am I in a constant state of anxiety about them?
  2. Does the word ‘negotiation’ make me break out in a sweat?
  3. Does every appraisal cycle at work catch me unprepared? Have I researched the market on whether I am overpaid, at equilibrium or underpaid?
  4. When I do not get my due during an appraisal/ job interview, do I make up excuses for it rather than face facts?
  5. When I negotiate, do others make me feel I am asking for too much?
  6. Do I let my employer decide my WORTH?
  7. Has my ‘WORTH’ remained constant through my working years?
  8. Do I expect to be paid for the time I give to work?
  9. Do I feel more comfortable negotiating for others than for myself?
  10. Can I have multiple sources of income that will support me in a recession? How?

Lets acknowledge this.?

Most of us women are stuck in $3 questions.?

Till a generation earlier, we were brought up to ask such questions. We were taught to save pennies for a rainy day, told to deny ourselves so others can get more. We were taught that those pennies we saved were big wins. In India where I come from we even have a word that applauds this mindset. We call it “adjusting”. Some noise from the Indians in the house? ??

There there. It’s not all bad. We are learning. Now we don’t give up as much so other’s can be happy getting more. With this shift in thinking, we need to toss $3 questions out the window & embrace the $30,000 ones.

Because $30,000 questions force us to come to terms with our WORTH. They determine how much money we make in our working life.

Needless to say, the simple task of asking their WORTH paralyses people with fear.?

That’s because most people don’t have a process for it. When I was working in a corporate job I struggled for years to make good money. Infact I struggled so much that I decided to do something about it. I came up with a negotiation model, the WORTH framework. I followed it to successfully negotiate a 28% raise at my job. I’ve been using it ever since with great results.

The WORTH framework is a simple plug the blanks & play model. It has been so useful for me that I now want to share it with you. The WORTH framework can give you real leverage while negotiating your salary, a promotion or even a business deal. You can download it for FREE here?https://bit.ly/worthframework .

But I have a business to run, so I’ve decided to limit the number of free downloads to 1000. If you download it, use it & let me know how it has helped you in earning more money.

I want to share a few more tips so you can use the WORTH framework optimally:

  1. Before you step into any kind of asking process (read negotiation), especially ones where money is involved, ask yourself this. Am I clear in my head about what I want? The WORTH framework is a plug & play that will guide you towards the answer.
  2. Have options. This way you will hold your power in a negotiation. You level the playing field between you & your employer when you have choices.
  3. The biggest reason people donot ask is fear. They fear rejection. But the truth is, if you are not being rejected often enough, it means you are not asking for enough. Infact, the best way to approach a ‘NO’ is to ask the reason ‘why’. When you ask ‘why’, the counter party starts to explain and during this process they might start talking themselves into a deal. The framework has a template for ‘why’ questions.
  4. You can ask the right kind of questions to show that you are willing to provide value. More on that in the WORTH process.

Successfully asking your WORTH is a game played between you & your mind. It is about owning your power & being comfortable quoting your number.

The next time you sit across a negotiation table, embrace the situation as an opportunity to narrow the Gender Pay Gap!

Kim Kardashian could well be your role model. She is a great marketeer who gets paid for her worth & beyond!
