Notice: The storage temperature of the battery is very important for the battery storage, the temperature will affect the activity of lithium ions, the higher the temperature, the higher the activity, but the temperature exceeds 60 ° C

may cause irreversible damage to the isolation film inside the battery, resulting in battery scrap. If the temperature is too low, the lithium ion activity will be too low, resulting in the battery capacity not being able to discharge, that is, there is no power.Pls follow below storage temperature instruction.

1.Storage requirement

Store the Battery Somewhere Dry & Cool.Do not just keep it in your garage or outside!

1.2 Storage time VS storage and ambient temperature

One month:-20 °C - 60°C

Three month: 20 °C - 45°C

Above six month: 20 °- 30°C

1.3 Relative humidity ≤65 ± 20% ,clean,dry and ventilated indoor environment.

1.4 Warning in storage

1. 4.1 Avoid short circuit when storage

1.4.2 Do not lay the battery close to the heat source or expose in the sunshine for long time. High temperature will shorten its working life.

1.4.3 If the battery does not work for long time,its over discharge phenomena will be showed via its self discharge characteristic.In order to prevent over discharging in storage,the battery will be charged periodically and make its voltage keep 12.6-13.4V.Periodically maintaining batteries during the term of storage is necessary,recommended every 6 months after the receipt of the battery and charge the battery up to 50% of the total capacity.

2.Removes Any Loads & Connections

You have to remove all the loads and power from your LiFePO4 battery while storing. A lot of people use the main switch to disconnect the battery power.Some loads bypass the main switch and consume energy from the battery in the background. So, even though you are storing your battery, some of them will keep discharging your battery if you do not disconnect them.

3.What Happens to LiFePO4 Battery After Long-Term Storage?

LiFePO4 battery has long-lasting battery chemistry. That’s why you can store them for a long time. If you store your battery correctly, it won’t have any issues after storing it for a long time.But you may have many issues with temperature, voltage, and discharge rate. Because of the temperature imbalance and high discharge rate, a LiFePO4 battery may give less capacity than before. It might take time to wake up.
