Do you know that "Experiential Marketing" is a low-cost marketing method for acquiring new clients or customers, either by delivering a free sample product.
Offering it away for free is known as the "Freemium Technique," and giving a low-cost product sample to a client or customer is known as the "Sampling technique."
So, here I will be sharing some techniques and ideas with examples for better understanding.
A) Freemium Techique
Free+ Premium is called Freemium.
Here are some examples of Freemium.
1) Facebook: For all users, it's free to create and use FB. As of 2021, Facebook is the largest social media platform globally with 2.85 billion monthly active users worldwide that if you want to promote your business you will be to use paid services of FB.
2). Linkedin: The world's largest professional network with 810 million members in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide is used for hiring people because all the professionals are present on this platform. If you are using "Linkedin" free of cost, then you will get limited features. However, if you take premium services, then it becomes easy for you to hire employees, you will get good reach, views, and skilled people.
B) Sampling Technique
Give your customers?a sample of a product so that he is satisfied and purchases the product on their?next visit. You can offer two kinds of samples: free samples as well as low-cost samples.
This is one of the low-cost marketing techniques in which you choose the right customer and give him a product for free or in the form of a sample. If the customer likes it, he will return to purchase it.
Here are some examples of sampling techniques:
1) Vistara Airlines: During the flight, passengers were given a sample of Titan's skinn perfume as a present. The sample comes in a 5ml or 10ml pack. Passengers who enjoyed the perfume bought it in skinn stores in Indian airports.
2) Shampoo and oil companies sell their products at restaurants in the shape of little sachets ranging from 1 to 5 INR. If they enjoy it, they will purchase the entire bottle.
Benefits of Sampling/ Freemium
When you give a small sample to a customer for free, you affect his behavior. If you give the sample to the correct customer, it will only cost you a very low price.
This technique will help you to
Statement of Excellence
Samples are not mass-produced items; rather, they are test items.
You might start by asking an existing customer to try the sample. They will provide you immediate feedback. If you receive positive feedback from all of your current customers, you can begin mass manufacturing.
Statement of Excellence
You will not be able to determine whether a customer needs?a product. This will be decided by the customer.
Before you buy, try it out.

Customers are more likely to try your product if you use experimental marketing, a freemium model, or a sample approach. It will also leave a lasting and emotional impression on the buyer.
Statement of Excellence
Everyone enjoys receiving gifts or low-cost items.
Examples of low cost samples
1) Clinic Plus Shampoo:
Clinic Plus Sampoo is supplied in 6ml sachets for INR. 1 each. As a result, its 600ml bottle should be priced at INR 100. However, this is not the case, as the 600ml bottle costs INR 325.
The small sachet was offered at a low price, whereas the bottle was sold for a higher price.
Brands can do so since a customer did not figure that if the sachet of 6ml costs INR. 1, the 600ml bottle should cost INR. 100.
The buyer only notices that he is getting a 25% discount on the bottle and a 20% bonus shampoo. As a result, he buys the shampoo.
2). Colgate Toothpaste:
A 50g tube of Colgate toothpaste costs INR 20.
So, its 150g large tube should be sold for INR. 60, but you will get it for INR. 92.
These companies do not provide free samples. They charge extra for it.
As a result, you can engage in experiential marketing through freemium or sampling.
