Do you know the difference between blue and red water?

Do you know the difference between blue and red water?

When I got into talent acquisition my boss told me on day 1 - bring in a list of companies tomorrow that you want to chase for business development purposes.

I lived in Charlotte, NC at the time.

Can you guess the companies that were on that list?

Guess who else has those companies on their lists?

Every unemployed person in the city.

Every job seeker.

Every recruiting firm

Job seekers looking to relocate to the city.

If those are the companies you're chasing - you are swimming in bloody water.

That means there are lots of other fish feeding right there.

Those waters are competitive. And dangerous.

Find the blue water because no one else is there.

Good luck out there.
