Do you know the classification of GPU?

GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is a type of processor designed specifically for graphics and image processing. The GPU is responsible for calculating and rendering visual data in a computer, such as images and videos. Due to the ability of GPUs to perform a large amount of parallel computation, they have been widely used in fields such as gaming, computer vision, and deep learning. GPUs can be classified into three main types: gaming cards, graphics cards, and compute cards.

Gaming Cards

Gaming cards are GPUs designed specifically for gaming, usually striking a balance between price and performance. These cards typically have high clock speeds and memory bandwidth, providing excellent graphics and frame rates when playing games. Additionally, gaming cards have optimized game drivers and software, maximizing game performance.

Graphics Cards

Graphics cards are GPUs designed for graphics and image processing, typically featuring higher clock speeds and memory bandwidth, as well as more processing cores. This enables them to offer faster speeds and higher quality when rendering complex 3D scenes, creating videos, and editing images.

Compute Cards

Compute cards are GPUs designed specifically for compute-intensive tasks such as scientific computing, deep learning, and cryptography. Compute cards have more processing cores and memory, as well as higher clock speeds and memory bandwidth, enabling them to perform large-scale parallel computations. Additionally, compute cards have special computing software and tools, allowing them to efficiently process large amounts of data and algorithms.
