Myth #1: “Leaders are Born, Not Made”

This is often what is implied by the term “natural leader”, and if anyone is going to think that leaders are born, not made(leadership being about nature rather than nurture) then it would be the British Army.

They gave up that concept a hundred years ago.Field Marshall Slim, one of Britain’s most successful and influential military commanders of the Second World War said, “There is no-one who cannot vastly improve their powers of leadership by a little thought and practice.”
