Do You Have the Right Prescription?

Choosing the right dust control product means choosing the product that’s most effective for your specific problem. That means getting to the bottom of your dust control problem by asking probing questions that help develop a solution.
Many times we’re asked why we insist on asking so many questions about an application. ‘Why can’t you just tell me to use product X?’ The answer to that question lies with your family physician.
Where Does it Hurt?
Think about it. When you go to the doctor, you’re usually ready to answer a laundry list of questions. ‘Where does it hurt?’ your doctor might ask. After you answer him, the doctor usually asks more questions. Ever wonder why?
Your doctor keeps asking questions because he or she is ruling out the numerous things that might have caused the pain. They are using the process of elimination to uncover the real root of the problem.
It’s the same way with Soilworks. ‘Where does it hurt?’ for us usually comes in the form of a question like ‘What problem are you trying to solve?’
We’re trying to eliminate the issues that aren’t relevant to the problem, looking for the right solution for your dust control or soil stabilization needs.
One Size Does Not Fit All
To put it another way, you don’t go to the doctor for an ache or pain and expect him to write three different prescriptions, hoping one of them works.
The same goes for dust control and our team of experts. Each of our products have specific purposes, specific applications and specific capabilities. You can’t use all of our products in the exact same way. They all solve a specific problem.
That’s why we ask the questions we do. We want to make sure our customized solution solves your specific problem.
Diagnosing the Problem
Our team of dust control experts will work with you one-on-one to ensure that we diagnose the situation and develop the right course of treatment.
We can’t treat what we can’t see so we might require photos (X-rays) of your site. We may need you to provide some test results on your soil (blood draws). We may need to know how much product your site can withstand (allergies).
Or we may find out that your traffic patterns will determine your application rate, just like how active you are impacts your body’s overall tolerance for treatment.
You may already be implementing a dust control solution. We need to know that in order to determine how our products will interact with it (drug interactions).
Is There a Generic Available?
In our business, choosing the right product means choosing the product that’s most effective for your problem. Generic substitutes won’t work.
The way we look at it is this: if our product lasts three times longer than another product or only requires one-third the amount and it only costs twice as much, which is the better value? Furthermore, has the generic product been independently verified for performance (clinical trials) and environmental efficacy (FDA certified) as Soilworks’ products have?
The point is, it takes a lot of information to diagnose and treat the problem – whether it’s medicine or dust control. So the next time you’re thinking ‘Why do they ask so many questions?’ you’ll know the answer; Soilworks cares about effectively solving root problems. Living up to our brand promise: Combining your business goals with our knowledge, state-of-the-art soil technology, and environmental best practices to meet your objectives.
