Do you have lingering symptoms from a previous COVID-19 infection? Symptoms like?fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, muscle weakness, loss of sense of smell, shivers (external or internal), chest pains, anxiety, palpitations, shortness of breath, etc. These could be due to LONG COVID.
Long COVID is affecting the lives of millions of people worldwide and has become both a personal and societal problem. Although?unfortunate, some people are more prone to this health condition than others.?
And still, "Hope" is the beginning of healing and?Sjogren's Solution was created to help beautiful human beings, who are sick, tired, and metabolically bankrupt, become more actively involved in their health care.
Its important to first understand what makes a person more susceptible to long covid:
- Presence of co-morbidities like diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, autoimmune disorders, etc,
- In these people most of the time, the microbiome is imbalanced, which means very high pathogenic and opportunistic microbes, like candida,?Enterobacteriaceae, and?Enterococcus, and fewer good microbes like Bifidobacterium,?Actinobacteria, etc (As shown in this study here)
- With co-morbidities, but also in non-co-morbid people sometimes, comes the case of compromised gut health or commonly called Leaky Gut,?
- A leaky gut causes the proliferation of endotoxins, like Lipo-polysaccharide-LPS, (a fatty acid produced by bacteria that is toxic to our body), into the blood crossing the gut-blood barrier. It's important to note that the SARS Cov2 virus binds with the LPS and crosses the gut-blood barrier, causing this array of symptoms.
?Second, strategies to alleviate these symptoms.?The key is to increase the microbial diversity in your body. These are some PRO -TIPS to help alleviate your symptoms:
- Focus on eating real food, preferably from a local farm. The nutrition we get from real foods is far more than just vitamins and minerals.?
- Working to support a robust and diverse?microbiome, by eating fermented and cultured foods and drinks, and in some cases, taking supplemental probiotics (like these which are my favorite- microbiome labs Mega-Pre, Mega Mucosa, and Zenbiome plus),?since a healthy microbiome is central to optimal immune function, hormone balance, mood, cognition, and more.
- Ensuring adequate hydration, perhaps half your body weight in ounces if possible, helps to coordinate body temperature, keeps joints lubricated, prevents various kinds of infections, brings nutrients into cells, and is essential in keeping major organ systems functioning well. Being well-hydrated also helps with sleep quality, cognitive function, and overall mood.
- Getting adequate and restful sleep, which is key to physical, emotional, and cognitive health.
- Getting pharmaceutical intervention, as appropriate, when other options have been exhausted. Look at this protocol:?Long covid treatment protocol.?
- Last but not least, is to get moving but never rigorous exercise, and walks, yoga, and mild exercises are suggested.?
?This newsletter is an attempt to bring life-changing relief to many who are suffering from the long-term effects of COVID. So I sincerely hope this is helpful.?

1 年Without the change in smell it seems really hard to tell it apart from a number of autoimmune conditions… which all come with leaky gut, brain fog, fatigue, and even chest pains if reflux involved…
