Do you have a life resume?

Quick story

I was in Tokyo Japan earlier this month to experience spring and cherry blossoms (Sakura in Japanese). Spring is the BEST time of year to experience in Japan. Spring is high season for cherry blossoms which are in full bloom for a very short period of time.

There is so much meaning, history and significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture which goes back to hundreds of years. In Japanese culture, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It’s a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short. When the cherry blossom trees bloom for a short time each spring in brilliant force, they serve as a visual reminder of how precious and how precarious life is.

This serves as a great reminder for us to enjoy the moment and be present and connected with the beauty that is short lived. I was so connected with the magnificence of the beauty around me and how truly blessed I am to be living in this moment and experiencing this. Have you ever felt like this?

From my experience, people focus more on building their career resumes than on their life resume. The truth is building your career resume is only a small portion of you living life. It’s only one area of your life yet many people get hung up and focus their entire lives on working that they forget to LIVE. I want you to ponder on this for a moment. Is it resonating?

Have you ever looked at where you are in life and wondered, 'Is this it?

What life is truly about is creating memorable experiences that you include in YOUR life resume. Life is about connecting with your SOUL's PURPOSE and being fulfilled. Wouldn't you agree?

Are you going through the motions of life by working, eating, sleeping, etc. and then waking up and doing it all over again without being truly connected to what's important to YOU and what you really WANT in life?  It's like Rinse. Lather. Repeat. And the cycle continues....

Another fascinating thing about Japan is their train system and infrastructure. There are so many train lines and even though the map looks confusing it actually is pretty simple to figure out. Google Maps is your BEST friend in Japan as it’s so accurate and reliable.

One of the things that I got to do was navigate the different cities and hopping on and off different train stations. I used Google Maps to find my way to those stations. In finding the steps to get to your destination (which is your VISION) you must follow a MAP. Your map is your guide and GPS that’ll show you whether you’re on track or off track (pun intended). ;) So when I plugged in a final destination station and my starting point, I got the exact steps to get there. When I got off course I knew I was off course because I had a map and we all know that unexpected things happen along the journey and course we’re taking. In life we adjust, redirect, make tweaks in every step to make sure that we’re on the right path to achieving our desired outcome.

Imagine what your life be like if you had a guide or GPS that’ll support you in getting to your vision. How would that make you feel?

I definitely went off course a few times and was able to quickly readjust and get on track because I had a map.

The point of me sharing this with you is that if you don’t have a map or guide to show you where to go then how will you get there? How will you know that you’re on track?

It’s the small tweaks in every step that creates the quantum leap in your results.

I’ve also learned from experience that lone wolfing it doesn’t work. Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. With that said, I invite you to let go of being a lone wolf and reach out for support and guidance. I opened up 5 spots on my calendar this week to help you create a roadmap that’s in alignment with your life resume. Book your Breakthrough Session today. Here’s the link! https://bit.ly/MyDreamCareer
