Do You Have Faith in a Higher Power?

Do You Have Faith in a Higher Power?

Optimism, hope and faith are definitely helpful qualities if you want to strengthen your mind and ground yourself, especially in these times of uncertainty.

It is really interesting because lately, I have received many emails with questions and statements about God and my beliefs. I would like to share some of them with you:

  • Karin, Do you believe in god?
  • One of my daily prayers is “God, put me where you need me”. It appears, “he” has done just that for me when I read your daily message today.
  • Would you let me know if you believe in a higher power?
  • Do you think we should believe in something and have faith, or is this too wishy-washy in the corporate world?

It seems to me that it is a good time to share a personal story with you.

As many may already know, I grew up in Austria. Austria is a catholic country. My parents took me to church from an early age and I went because I had to and not because I felt a strong connection to god.

However, somehow I always knew that there is a higher power but I truly started to understand the importance of having faith when I moved to Canada. I had to learn to strengthen my mind, feel grounded and find my place in a new country and believing in God helped me with that.

I had to learn to become mentally flexible by becoming comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. My faith in God has certainly helped me to get through tough times and it has taught me to appreciate the good times.

If you would like to feel calmer and more peaceful these days, here are a few mantras that help me to stay grounded and set the tone for the day.

I…

  1. have?positive thoughts?and my positive energy is contagious.
  2. am healthy and vibrant.
  3. feel supported even in times of uncertainty.
  4. have important knowledge to share.
  5. leave a little sparkle wherever I go.
  6. help other people to be the best they can be.
  7. remind myself that energy flows where attention goes.
  8. am curious rather than furious.
  9. enjoy the little things in life because they are the big things.
  10. count my blessings every day.

Read them every day or write your own ones and read them.

Many people and businesses will get out of this stronger and with a renewed outlook on life. Isn’t this what it is all about? If we don’t learn the lesson now, when will we ever learn?

I believe in so many things and some of them are worthwhile sharing.

I believe in…

  • god
  • the golden rule ( “one should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself”)
  • the law of attraction
  • Karma (principle of cause and effect:?what happens to a person, happens because they caused it with their actions)
  • my higher purpose
  • exercise to manage my mental and emotional state
  • helping others
  • meditation to clear my mind
  • myself
  • love, friendship kindness and respect
  • the goodness of others
  • a better tomorrow
  • the universe
  • my clients and future clients

Times will get better. Just remind yourself that we are in this together.

Dream big and expect great opportunities.

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”?– John Lennon
