Let's talk about audience building.
I KNOW! I KNOW you wanted clients like yesterday (me to) and trust me, this will help.
So many people come to me feeling frustrated because they haven’t signed a client or sold their offer within the first 30 to 90 days of consistent marketing on LinkedIn (or on their email list).
Why? Most don’t have an engaged audience… yet.
And many don't see the importance of taking time to build one—they think posting content and accepting connection requests will magically bring in clients.
Yeah, NO, it doesn't really work that way.
But when you take a step back and focus on audience building and trust FIRST, you’ll see magical things begin to happen—like more clients signing up to work with you.
Let’s Get REAL for a Moment
You’ve got some connections—a network, right?
But are they an AUDIENCE—people who are genuinely listening to you? Are they individuals who trust you and see you as an expert in your niche? Are they aware that you have the solution that can help them?
The problem is that most business owners focus on posting content and selling their offers rather than on building an audience that trusts them. They operate under the belief that “post it and they will come.”?I admit this was me in the beginning.
Then I realized on social media it's the furthest thing from the truth.
The Importance of Engagement
Now, let’s talk about engagement as in getting the conversation going with your connections (not likes or scrolling your feed reading content).?
Even if you're sending connection requests (and let’s be honest, most aren’t), are you actively reaching out to get the conversation going after connecting?
Many believe that new connections will see their content and then buy from them.
But how many of those new connections actually see your posts?
Almost NONE—less than 0.05% of your new connections see your content.?
Ouch, right?
Why? Because they haven’t engaged with you, and you haven’t engaged with them. Trust or REAL connection hasn’t been built… yet.
