Do You Have a Clear Direction to Pursue?

No greater gifts for man to give himself than clearly defined goals. All of life’s pathways can become clearly lit when fueled by goals of direction, substance, and understanding.

• Is your pathway lit?
• Do you have a clear direction to pursue?
• Are goals providing the substance you require to succeed?

As Henry David Thoreau noted, “In the long run you hit only what you aim at. Therefore, though you should fail immediately, you had better aim at something high.”

Challenge yourself: set goals!

Here are some questions for reflection:

1. On a scale of 1 being low and 5 being high, how committed are you to goal setting? What would it take to enhance your commitment?
2. On a scale of 1 being low and 5 being high, how successful are you in regularly accomplishing your goals? What will it demand of you to become more successful in goal accomplishment?
3. How has having goals impacted your professional and or private life results?
4. How are you influencing those you lead or associate with to set goals?
