Do you have an AI policy for your business?

Do you have an AI policy for your business?

I do. And you can 'borrow' little pieces of it to help you to flesh out yours, if you like.

First, a bit of background:

As a copywriter and trainer (and sometimes as a speaker) I get this question a lot:

"Do you use AI? And if so, how do you ensure that what you create for us is original?"

Ever had a client ask you this question?

Some clients just come out and ask; others stew about it but say nothing. (And even if you’re an in-house writer, facilitator or trainer, your manager and their manager may well be wondering the exact same thing.)

This is why it’s smart to have an AI policy.

In short, an AI policy gives clients the clarity they need. It eliminates misunderstandings down the line. It builds trust. And it makes you seem more professional than you already do.

You can start by jotting down some notes...

  • How do I intend to use AI to write copy, training material or talks (if at all)?
  • Which tools, specifically?
  • If I use AI tools, when and where in my creation process will I use them?
  • For what, specifically?
  • How will I use AI to complement my own thinking, ideating and creativity?
  • What's the best way to explain this to my clients?

Then you can check out my own AI policy, which is right here:

You're welcome ;)
