What it is

To use it, you don't need a log in or a mobile phone. It can be used on both desktop and mobile. When you click this link, it directs you to start writing. You can choose a prompt or go without one. I always go without one, but it's your call.

What's different

Here's the catch. If you pause for too long, everything you just wrote - gets ERASED. What's more, there's no way to get it back! A warning is flashed on the screen, a few seconds before it erases everything. This is to prompt you to continue writing. Next, after a given amount of minutes elapse, it stops threatening to destroy your writing. You can choose to continue writing after that, if you so desire.

Using this website never fails to propel me past my writer's block, like a border collie over a hurdle. But why? It's simple. Sometimes, we fear losing something we already feel ownership over, more than our fears surrounding our creation of something new.

Why it matters

Under pressure, under time constraints, and stress, it's surprising how much of what YOU write through this website turn out to be not only interesting but valuable. You can always edit what you've written, but you can't publish what you haven't.
