Do you get that sinking feeling?

“A ship in a harbor is safe, but that’s not what it is built for. It is built for exploring the seas and the world beyond, for facing and sustaining the storms and for enjoying the tranquility of the sea.” Its completely normal if you feel your ship is sinking in the ocean of life,We all feel that when a sudden wave of depression and problems hits us. But what is important is to gain back the strength and fight back. Problems are a part of life, to face them is the art of life. Confront your problems, big or small. Now categorize them as per big or small, then under big problems classify as per the priority of solution.
Once you have the Big Data, with you, Analyze each problem. How it started? What is fueling it? Who is the reason behind it? What to change to eliminate this problem? Once you analyze your problems, Think of the solutions. Accept the naked truth, and muster the courage to implement it. Now you have your problems as per your priorities, along with your solutions, The most important phase now is Not implementation, but continuity. No matter how hard it feels, “Get up, dress up and show up is the mantra”. “The greatest praise for a man is to rise in his own eyes. So burn like the fire and rise like a phoenix”
I saw this interview with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs once ; and Steve Jobs joked “I’m the captain of this ship that is sinking, and my job is to point it to the right direction.”; and Bill Gates was laughing so hard. That is the mistake that most people make with their lives: They think if they just row harder, the boat will stop sinking. They think that if they just point to new direction, the boat will stop sinking. The only thing that will stop the sinking feeling is find the cause of it: find the leak and plug it. Is it your career? Is it your personal relationship? What is it that cause you to have that sinking feeling? Fix it.
Don’t keep trying the same thing. If you keep trying the same thing, you will get the same result. An old boss of mine joked once that “Finding your soul mate is the same as making cold call (he’s a salesperson): it’s a number game, you keep asking people out, and sooner and later someone will say yes”. The key of success is knowing how low your odds are, and deciding whether it is worth persisting; or you change methods that will increase your odds. Perhaps the best place to find the right person is not the broken down bikers’ bar. Perhaps the best way to get a job is not the online ads where a billion other people are applying for. Perhaps the answer to both career and personal problem is the same: Connection, Connection, Connection.
Either way, each leak is different. Each person must find it and plug it. Then you will stop sinking. It's very possible that you are perceiving rightly and your life is a sinking ship right now. So do you want to change the situation, or your perception of it? I'll go to the tools for the latter first, as these are the ones I don't recommend. There are a great many books on self-delusion written. Understandably, they are very popular. I think the secret is one of the most often used. This will alter your perception of your reality and your actions and you'll be able to delude yourself of just about anything.

Now, you can take the logical tack that I typically employ. It turns out that my methodology is well articulated in a military strategy. I was sharing my problem solving algorithm with someone and they gave me the name for it. They were wonderful at that. It's called an "Ooda loop". Observe. Figure out where you are. Orient. Figure out where you want to be. Decide. Make a course. Act. Follow it. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. I articulated this less tersely, but the algorithm is identical.
Assess - is there a problem? Sometimes you are the problem, and it really is merely your perception of things (or your last actions created new problems). You may find that your energy may be spent on non-issues. I often find that good assessment prevents much needless action. Locate - what can you control about the problem? Find your problem. Be precise. In many situations, our ability to effect change is functionally limited by agency. In every situation there is something within your control. Even if it is only removing yourself from the situation.
Formulate - choose to act along those things which you control which get you to your desired outcomes. Where is the situation now, versus what is my desired outcome? Draw a straight line. Execute - do your plan. Repeat your loop - assess your situation again. Did your actions resolve the problem? Did they create new ones. Never stop doing this thing. You won't always do them perfectly; but your life will have an intention that will prevent this out of control sinking feeling. And you will enjoy a great amount of success as well.
Many people in this world has such perception and no one likes to stay in such perception as it makes an individual startled with fear. There are people who are have more worse situations and they are able to overcome them and even you can too. Many successful and great people have suffered great pain and if you feel that your life is a sinking ship right now. Go on finding such stories about great people and watch their life documentaries and this will help you little inspiration.
Do you know the only reason why we keep suffering with doubts and fear? It’s all because of sitting idle and getting lost in our imagination world. Try to get out of it. Do what you like? It may be a hobby or art or dance or sing a song. whatever it may be try to live every moment and never settle idle. Action cures all your fears and false perceptions and therefore start acting by realising the importance of valuable life you got. Cheers!
