Do you find LOVE in what you do?

It was just another day in year 2022, when I came across the amazing quote by Dan Millman from the movie ‘Peaceful Warrior’,

"A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does".?

Did you understand what exactly this means to you?

I was trying to find out what it means and I figured out what this quote really means to me in my life.

In the past, when I am 10 years old, I always love to be the POLICE INSPECTOR in future because,

I always wonder why thefts happen, I want to catch the thieves, I want to get back the valuables to the people who lost, and there is every chance that I can be outstanding in solving these recurring problems, and I used to feel how to empower the thieves to actually live better instead of doing thefts.

Let me simplify this in terms of 4-step L.O.V.E technique

L stands for -?Long lasting smiles, I want to bring the long lasting smiles to the people by recovering and handing-over their valuables to them

O stands for - Outstanding results, I always want to standout in the crowd by preventing or solving problems.

V stands for - Very innovative ways, I want to do things in a very fast, accelerated ways so that, I can solve many more problems.

E stands for - Empowering the people who are creating/ solving the problems to find their best ways to live.

Later, after 15 years from then, in year 2000 after my post graduation, when there is a trend of joining in IT Industry,?

I have attended walk-in interviews of 'Sony India Software Centre' in March 2000,

As part of the first round, there is an objective test where there are 25 questions, and each question has 4 choices a, b, c, d and I have to find out the right answer.

But to my surprise for around 4 questions, there is NO right choice in a/ b/ c/ d, and

now the problem is, how to find out the right choice?

So, I have added ‘e’ as another choice with the right answer and I selected choice as 'e'.

After my answers are evaluated,

I was called for the next round, and after the discussion I was given Quality Assurance position where I will be inspecting the quality of the product and catching the defects.?

Can you see this job is like Quality Inspector, which is similar to Police Inspector? That time, when I got the job I did not realise this similarity.

After taking up this profession of QA,

I am always bringing long-lasting smiles to my stakeholders by actually finding the defects and preventing them leaking into production.?

I am always outstanding in my results with proper analysis and also in faster time.?

And, I am very innovative and filed 25 patents in USPTO in how to improve the process, how to automate to find the defects quickly, etc.

And, I am empowering my team members to actually prevent the defects by looking for the value distance between the actual needs and wants of stakeholders, so that defects will not leak from requirements phase to the next level.?

From my life, I realised that,

what I LOVE to be as a police inspector, I am finding it in my current profession.?

This reminds me that,

A warrior does not give up what he loves, he always finds his L.O.V.E in what he does.?
