I hear you, I was you! For most of my working life in the corporate world I would leave home on a Monday and return home on a Thursday night, the last couple of years before early retirement??I would get the red eye to London on a Monday??morning and the last flight on a Thursday night.
I worked for BSkyB and represented retail on the Marketeers Floor a wonderful end to my corporate life.?
I stayed at the Waldorf Estonia at Syon Park, a beautiful hotel with so many facilities - people used to think it was such a glamorous life and in many ways it was, I was blessed, but as anyone who works away from home knows it can be a lonely existence.?
Anytime I was on a ‘diet’ it was always nie??on impossible to maintain as no matter how healthily you try to eat in a hotel, there are dressings on salads, butter in potatoes, sauces with main courses and who can say no to gorgeous deserts? So ‘diets’ were never maintained.?

I wish I had known about Intermittent Fasting back then, it would have fitted in with my working life beautifully, Fasting for a certain amount of hours delaying when you eat but then not denying yourself foods that you like.?
There would have been no feelings of failure when I enjoyed lunch in our wonderful restaurant at head office or when ordered my gorgeous delicious dinner, this would have fitted into my schedule beautifully.
When fasted your body is deep cleansed, you tap into a human growth hormone which stabilises your metabolism, is anti ageing, protects your muscles, and strengthens your bones, then you hit glycogen burn and fat burning every single day.
The magic of this lifestyle is within fasting times. There is a level of water that needs to be consumed to make the fast work to it’s optimum and we don’t have to do really long fasts to make this work. We are gentle with ourselves and our bodies.
Appetite correction happens, you will know when you’ve had enough to eat, and will naturally stop eating when satiety happens rather than eating until your ‘full’.?
Your body wakes up and tells you which foods suit your own unique bio-chemistry - I will never have to tell you which foods to eat - you will know which foods bloat you or make you go into a food coma instead of energising you and making you feel satisfied.
You will start recognising when you are actually ‘hungry’, you will stop eating just because it’s breakfast time (it’s not the most important meal of the day - John Harvey Kellog invented breakfast in 1908 with very clever marketing). Have you ever eaten just incase you get hungry later? I have!Think about how ridiculous that is !
