Do you feel tired, or bloated after you eat?

I used to feel this way infact I used to call it my food coma, I thought it was normal and just my reaction to eating.

The bloating was the same very often after I ate my tummy would expand I would even feel it in my joints - they would get swollen and sore - I thought this was normal and my reaction to eating.

I no longer ever suffer from any of these ‘symptoms’ of food I enjoy every mouthful,of the gorgeous food I eat and feel fab afterwards - food coma’s have gone forever.

It’s strange how we don’t listen to our bodies, no-one tells us that they are giving us signals that are telling us something we are eating just doesn’t suit our unique bio chemistry.

We have become so reliant on outside signals - on diets with their ‘new ways’ of telling us what to eat, counting points, foods that you can or can’t eat in huge amounts and still lose eight, madly unhealthy shakes and pre prepared meals. Even counting calories. It’s all someone else telling us what is suited to us. It doesn’t work in the long term.

The way intermittent fasting works is in most basic terms we fast for a period of time then we eat for a period of time.

We don’t need to count calories as they are irrelevant - instead of our bodies relying on food as a constant source of energy - we tap into our fat stores and use them for energy in our fasted time and the bonus is that because of this we burn fat and lose weight. It’s how our bodies are supposed to work, we’ve just forgotten about it.

Our bodies really wake up and you start recognising food that suits you, it is different for everyone, but you will soon realise that when you feel really tired after eating there was something in the food that you ate that doesn’t suit you and by the way of elimination you will realise what ingredient it is that you are better not to use anymore and the days of you going into a ‘food coma’ will be over. The same goes for when you feel bloated. It will be something that doesn’t suit your unique bio-chemistry.

You become intelligent about your own body and your own needs, you won’t need anyone else to tell you what to eat you will recognise the foods that energise you and make you feel great and leave behind the foods that flatten and bloat you.

All the answers lie within. We have simply been corrupted (strong work I know but it’s true) by the food industry, diet industry and the media for too long. We have forgotten just to listen to what our bodies tell us.
