Do You Fear Losing Sales?

Do You Fear Losing Sales?

Picture your typical, run-of-the-mill salesperson.

They may seem to effortlessly exude confidence, they may seem massively cool and self-assured, and perhaps you even suspect they have a bit of a God-complex.

Given what we've just said, you might be surprised by the following insight:

Despite appearances, most salespeople aren't driven by confidence.

Most salespeople are driven by fear.

Fear of losing sales, fear of missing targets, fear of upsetting clients, fear of being criticised by their boss, fear of losing their job.

Surprised?

Maybe not. Maybe you feel like I've just described you.

Worry not, my friends!

Prepare yourself for this revolutionary insight:

If you're good at what you do, then these fears only exist in your mind.

Here's why:

Truly talented and hardworking salespeople are scarce.

But if you're one of these rare gems, you can walk confidently into every day at the office, every sales call, and every performance review knowing one simple truth:

Tyre-kicking prospects, demanding clients, and impatient managers will come and go.

But you? You are the prize.

Maybe you don't feel that your skills are quite up to scratch.

But don't panic! Why? Because, if you're really serious about boosting your skills, you can!

Your rate of growth is entirely within your control.

It all depends on the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that you're prepared to put in. (Remember, the bigger the challenges you take on, the bigger the outcome!)

Put simply, take a moment to sit down and appreciate your own value and skills and your fear and scarcity-mindset will naturally dissipate.

Lift that weight off your shoulders and go forth with renewed confidence and self-belief!
