Do you fear change? Let's switch your thinking...

I do not know anyone who has not feared the power of change, including myself. Shifting roles, friendship circles, or walking away from patterns that no longer serve us to embrace a higher purpose takes courage, and we are often not supported by those who we thought were in our 'tribe' when we choose to take that first small step forward towards what we know to be in alignment with what we truly want from life.

This weekend, I changed my Linkedin banner (above quote).

I changed it to remind myself how far I have come since sharing my success and survival story with the world. What I feared most when I was in the energy of Tory 1.0, the PR Powerhouse that created and built brands for others was judgment, gossip, and losing friendships or loved ones. I now recognize that those fears didn't matter. Losing those 'types' of people by stepping into Tory 2.0 was a much more powerful step to take as it anchored to my values of passion, integrity, and delivery, knowing I could make a difference in the lives of others by sharing my authentic truth. What I walked away from created space for something more worthy of my time, energy, values, intent, and purpose.

If you are still reading this, you are likely thinking,' I don't like my job, my tribe, or my 'people', and it's OK to admit that truth. It means you are out of alignment and ready to step into 2.0, too.

To create the next-level version of yourself and claim your power, you must first understand your life story and how it has gifted you with many opportunities, lessons, and doors to walk through. It's up to you to know which doors to walk through next and impact this world from a place of heart, not ego. I am passionate about showing others how to find their strategic narrative/voice. When I mentor some of the world's leading CEOs and change-makers, it takes courage from them to find their truth, to sit in it, feel it, and know that they can make a difference in the businesses and organizations they lead.

These men and women now appear in authentic media coverage, sharing the power of their own business and life journey because I do not believe in pay-to-play media options. I believe if you have a story, it is powerful enough to attract the right media partner who understands the message for their audience and sees it as an energy match. That is how you create a ripple effect of leadership change in the world. Not from memes and putting others down - it's by lifting others, by showing them your journey has threads similar to yours and that they truly do matter.

Remember—ego comes from the CEO, who leads for material rewards. The heart comes from the CEO, which leads to creating a legacy from which future generations can learn, grow, and evolve.

No matter how you feel today, know that you are valued, loved, and ready to take a powerful step forward. The type of steep you choose depends on you.
