Do you fancy joining me on the 13th June?

Something a bit different - do any of my LinkedIn friends fancy joining me this summer and participating in the finest charity clay pigeon shoot imaginable! This will be the 16th time that my charity, Fight for Sight, have done this clay shoot day, and the 8th year at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, near Pangbourne, UK.

I hopefully some of you can find the time to join me on the 13th June. This event is kindly supported by CQS, so all the money from your attendance will go directly to the charity.   

Clay Pigeon Shoot – Thursday 13 June 2019

I am honoured to be a Patron of the charity Fight for Sight, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to funding pioneering research. It is only through such research that we will be able to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. We all know someone affected by sight related issues and understand how crushing it can be and I am passionate about supporting this worthy cause.

The format of the day is “more is more”; and as those who have attended before will testify, an enormous amount and great variation of shooting will be available.

?        No standing in lines, or publicly & nervously having to fire 10 shots before re-joining another queue that is such a feature of many charity clay days.

?        I am a firm believer in “more is more” so the format has 14 teams of 4 individuals per team, shooting 7 stands of 80 target flushes.

?        Cartridges are unlimited and loaders are provided (each team is paired with another and they alternately load for each other). This way everyone gets plenty of practice and no one stands alone and self-conscious.

?        By varying the stands we offer simulated game targets including; high pheasant, curling partridge, speedy grouse, & other RBSS specialties.

There is some intense rivalry for the high ranking places, and equally, for the less practiced, the clay conservation prize is a worthy achievement! 

The food is always delicious, and the crowd charming… and I hope you can find the time (and 3 crack shot friends) to join me there.

Everything is included – guns (if necessary), cartridges, clays, a delicious breakfast and outstanding lunch and an auction ensures no-one needs go home empty handed! 

The cost is ￡2,000 for a team of 4, or ￡500 per individual. Partial teams and individuals are most welcome, and you will be teamed up with some excellent company.
