Do you disclose the numbers to the team?

Number numbers number!

Do you disclose them to your team members?

Do you keep them to yourselves?

Everyone is different…

I have come to realise, with the team that I have at the moment - and it really depends on your team - I am so happy to share the numbers with my team.

Partly because I’m not there so much anymore, and I want to be really transparent!

Often we don’t want to disclose numbers to our team because we’re afraid they see how much we make and they think that we’re so rich or some other belief...

The truth is, they may think that anyhow!

It’s really healthy for me to be transparent over it, then they not only see how much comes in - which is what they think I make - they then get to see how much goes out!

Then they need to see the projections and the budgets, what it takes to sustain this place that pays all of their bills and is their career.

It really depends on how you phrase it and how you frame it to your team, but I feel like its so important for them to be able to work towards a common goal.

To be able to be transparent with your team on numbers is such a gift - it lets them see what they are working towards.

And there needs to be a rewards system in there for your team as well!

If they are collectively working hard together and the clinic thrives, then everyone needs to be rewarded.

I really believe that generosity will reap bigger and better long term production.

You obviously don’t have to tell them every single thing, but I think if you have the right top quality team, then it’s so important because it helps them understand and see what they are working towards.
