Do you believe in the phrase 'do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life?'
At LANCER+BEEBE Architects we're blessed to be part of a team whereby we *generally* find ourselves 'not working' due to our passion for design excellence and our drive for exceptional service to our clients. Sure, occasionally we're required to 'work' when we have to deal with realities and constraints of the marketplace we operate in. That's life.
However, you'll often find our staff thoroughly enjoying the incredible effort and (periodic) long hours / late nights required in the pursuit of design excellence. We love what we do.
We recognize it's an incredible honor to be entrusted with our clients resources and we're driven to leverage every opportunity possible to maximize the positive impact our designs will have on future users of the spaces we create. We believe the built environment has power of emotion and we strive for compelling storytelling through the structures we deliver and the spaces we create.
We're thankful for a recent recognition of our team's passion and drive for design excellence in the December issue of American School and University Magazine in which the Walnut Grove Elementary at Center Grove Community Schools was awarded an 'Architectural Portfolio 2020 Special Citation': https://secure.viewer.zmags.com/publication/e436a9fc#/e436a9fc/24
This project was a 3+ year effort by our team, involving tireless focus and lots of long days - and chances are a lot of these days probably involved 'work'. However, in light of the generations of students that will be inspired and positively impacted by this school it's harder to recall we spent any time 'working' on this project at all!!
