Do you believe in human flight?

You probably think this is the kind of stuff you hear about on Ancient Aliens.

The hosts often refer to ancient Hindu and Vedic texts to support their postulations about hypothetical visitors. What is a fact however is that the Yoga Sutras contain a formula for achieving Human Flight.

That's right, as much as 5000 years ago, ancient wisdom was created that clearly spells out how to fly. It's verse 3.42 in this library.

To be honest, I have never seen anyone fly. It would be a physical miracle. This would be on parallel with Jesus walking on water.

So, how could this ancient wisdom possibly be true.

I can see a few options:

1. It's possible to develop enough mental power to control matter, I just don't have the skill or power to pull it off and neither does any other human being. I've searched a lot and found no evidence of human ability to use the mind to control our physical environment without physical cause. Maybe it's all hidden at Area 51.
2. These kinds of powers are spiritual, so they begin in the spirit and manifest in the physical realm through the physical actions we take as human beings. For example, people like the Wright Brothers who absorb their lives in the pursuit of flight are able to achieve a real result without any physical miracle.
3. Cause is irrelevant, it's all about consciousness and the story of humanity. Does it matter if Jesus physically walked on water or not? It's just down to what people believe and see in their own minds, because that's the only thing that is real.

Maybe all of these are true. I really don't know.

From my experience, the practice of Yoga makes it clear that Sidhis, the powers outlined in the Sutras, take a lot of work to achieve. You have to dedicate yourself to practice, make sacrifices in order to focus and never give up.

Actually, this is kind of like the story of Jesus walking on water. Peter had to keep complete focus on his devotion to Jesus to join in the experience.
