Do you appreciate how good your life is?

Last night some of the Fathers Nation team ventured down to the Birmingham Support Group soup kitchen for the homeless project.

We took 5 bags of clothes for the charity as we wanted to help make a difference, these homeless people are really suffering as they have no choice but to sleep outside

What I saw was an eye opener, it was like another world.

Have you ever seen Escape From New York, there were just hoards of people everywhere.

Sadly to say 90% of them were men. :-(

I didn't realise that the homeless crisis in Birmingham was that bad, in fact, it is really really bad.

If you want a reality check of what is going on out there, then get yourself down to Albert Street in Birmingham behind Ikea on a Wednesday at 6 o clock.

Go and see the people that society has left behind 

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Mark Northall and Diane Northall for their kind donations of unwanted clothes, they were snapped up in seconds

I also want to big up the Birmingham Support Group, what they are doing is nothing short of astounding but they need your help.  

Winter is a coming, it's gonna get colder and colder, what these people need from you is donations.

It does not have to be money, old clothes will do, jars of coffee, sugar, anything that you do not need these guy's, will be able to put to good use.

Finally, I want to say thank you to Lesley and Georgia her daughter, Denise, and Darren and a very special thank you to Shirley Cooper, this woman works tirelessly for free to try and help these people get off the streets and into accommodation.

She patrols Birmingham looking for homeless people that she can send to accommodation around the city.
