An art that can be mastered!

Do you agree?

I firmly believe that this principle applies to both personal and professional lives. Relationships often falter due to rigidity, ego, lack of soft skills, poor communication, and the inability to anticipate future events. People struggle to connect the dots and see the bigger picture.

For example, during business negotiations, it is a common practice to leave room for re-negotiations so that discussions can resume from where they left off. This requires a specific skill set, doesn't it?

Many people fail to choose the right tone or pitch. Newcomers are especially unaware of these shades, with only a few grasping the complexities involved. This challenge intensifies when communication is in written form. Most people cannot distinguish the tone conveyed in their written messages. Often, instructions and requests are combined in a single communication, which complicates matters, especially during difficult situations where in top management is involved and one struggles to convey the right message in the right tone. There is a difference between Request / Suggestion & Advice…One needs to choose the right fit!

Effective written communication is an art. It can not only be learned but also mastered, provided one has the enthusiasm to look beyond the immediate horizon.

If you have better examples to illustrate or elaborate on this point, I'd love to hear them. Thank you.
