Do What Works (And Nothing Else)

Have you ever done something that worked amazingly... then never done it again?

You're not alone. We've all done it.

Last night, ten Marketers Cruisers honored me with attending a two hour training I led, the them of which was around running a practitioner business (as opposed to a multi-million dollar enterprise).

One of our attendees asked a question that epitomized exactly what I was trying to help with.

?

I paraphrase: "I ran a webinar that only got 2 sales. I invited 12 people, and 9 showed up. Since then, I've tried (long list of other strategies). I only have capacity for 7 clients, and that will make as much revenue as I need. What should I do?"

?

Let me repeat that first bit in case you missed it:

A webinar to which the?invited only 12 people, which 9 attended, and 2 purchased.

?

She only needs 7 clients, and can only accommodate 7 clients.

?

She networked to invite 12 people, and sold two of them. That means she does that four times a year, and she hits the target. Invite 48 people over the course of a?year.

?

My advice?

Do that and?nothing else.

?

Is This You?

Some of you may be trying to get hundreds or thousands of clients, so you may need a more complex, involved strategy.

?

But if you need 7 or even 70 clients, you may not need all doodads.

?

If you need, for example, 30 clients, and you are very clear on the solution you offer and the problem you solve, you just need to talk to some people, offer what you do, and accept money from some of them.

?

Let's consider the math.

You need 30 clients. If you can get 1 in 3 people to join you, which you should be able to if you have a solid solution, you need to speak to 90 people.

?

90 people per year is about 8 per month, or 2 per week.

?

That's easy...unless you spend all your time building the next lead magnet, landing page, funnel, challenge, book, course, or whatever else.
