Hello all, I don't know about all of you but, I am ready to put all this behind us. Life can be difficult but, just like your job or your church there are SOME bad people but, most of them are GOOD. I work with the police as part of my business and I've got to say that it is very rare that I come across a "BAD" cop or get a negative vibe. If you are destroying a person's business and robbing them...YOU ARE WRONG! If you are harassing or beating someone because of their color, YOU ARE WRONG. I have found that being patient and having solid data over time will win the opponent over. MLK was right to push peaceful protesting. There are people that are listening. The next time you see a cop, just go over and say "Hello". They are people just like you and I. They will be shocked that you came over and you will be shocked at how nice they are. Just as I have said, "how many of you would want to live as an African-American", I will ask, how many of you would like to be a peace officer. The answer may be the same as the previous question.
What I am saying is simple. There are good and bad on all sides, in all races and segments. Let's try to find some common ground. WE ARE NOT GOING TO AGREE ON EVERYTHING! We can always find something that we agree on. Let's work TOGETHER to make the United States a great place for our kids, grand-kids and so on. Also, it is O.K. for us to agree to disagree! That's it! Everyone is welcome to beat me up now.

4 年Thank you T.J. This is a VERY difficult subject to talk about. Many of us have a hard time hearing one another and we sometimes jump to conclusions way too early. My experience tells me that most people are good. They have good hearts and good intentions. And those good folks are sometimes ignorant and they say and do things that are offensive. My experience also tells me that there are bad people in the world. And their offensive behavior has nothing to do with being ignorant. Good and bad people come in all sorts of packages: young and old, black and white, over-sized and pint-size, uniformed and un-uniformed. AND it's the responsibility of the good people to come together to ensure that the BAD folks don't determine the kind of world we want to live in. Personally -- the world that I want to live in is a place where we could care less about what each of us looks like and focus more on who we are on the inside.

4 年While I agree with pretty much everything you said I think there is more that could be said and that certainly needs to change. Always willing to talk offline about those issues and I will continue to try to change the world one policy/politician at a time.
