Do We Need To Talk About This Woman?
This is Ashley St. Clair, who apparently bagged half-bigoted billionaire Elon Musk into his 13th child (fourth mom), either “the old-fashioned way” or they “dated” briefly and he donated sperm, which I believe is what happened with Shivon Zillis, who is an exec at Neuralink and has 2–3 kids with Elon. Musk did bring Shivon to some inauguration events, and she was cheek-kissing Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, so maybe they’re having actual sex by now, but I honestly don’t know or care.
This Ashley St. Clair thing happened on Friday night last week, and I typically turn off my phone about 3pm Friday and turn it back on around 10am Saturday, so I was blissfully unaware of the initial proceedings here, then barely cared over the weekend. I think it’s only a “story” because it involves Elon himself, who might be the de facto President of the United States at present.
Let’s just quickly summarize what we do know:
All of that stuff above can be argued, but I’d say those are pretty basic facts.
Now we come to the only interesting thing here, which is the mental gymnastics needed to stay part of the “winning team.”
A traditional conservative would not be into “repopulating the Earth” or multiple children by multiple women, or fathers that can’t really be involved because they (a) don’t want to be or (b) are busy turning the government into their own personal playground.
But because it’s Elon, and he’s now “on the team” — does anyone remember when he was a DeSantis guy? It wasn’t even that long ago — you have to say it’s a good thing. So people like Alex Jones and Matt Gaetz, who would lose their minds if Obama or equivalent did this, come out and praise it.
The tension between “the various parts of MAGA Republicanism” is well-defined here:
You saw a different version of this, also involving Elon, with “America First” vs. “We need visa workers” a few weeks ago. There are various cultural clashes under the tent of winning elections and dominating the culture wars (for now).
That’s the only reason this is even moderately interesting.
Best to that baby, though.

1 周This administration is already boring. Everything promised will be PromiseLite version with asterisks and fine print. The dems aren't even protesting that much because it's all theater. The machine is, I believe, still very much in control and only some of the staff have changed.
