Being an adult, we often find ourselves losing one of the most precious things we had as children - our creativity. Remember those days when we could dream up entire worlds, build castles out of cardboard boxes, and believe in the extraordinary? As we grow older, the pressures of life, responsibilities, and societal expectations can dampen our imaginative spark.
Last week, I attended a seminar where a speaker shared a heartwarming story about a child's imaginative interpretation of a Mother's Day drawing. Instead of adhering to conventional norms, the child drew his mother's hair on the back of the page, showcasing a level of creativity that many adults struggle to maintain.
So, why do we lose our creativity as we transition into adulthood? The answer lies in the pressures and expectations that come with growing up. We become more focused on following rules and meeting obligations, leaving little room for playful exploration and imaginative thinking. But amidst the hustle and bustle of adult life, it's important to remember the value of nurturing our creative side.
