Hi Partner! Compliments of the new season ?????????? My prayer for you is that 2025 unfolds in the most beautiful of ways in your life. May you meet every goal you have set for yourself this year.
You might be wondering where I have been the past two years. I have been living, learning, and growing. I guess the last article I wrote about how unpredictable life is, and how we can leverage self-accountability to course correct, was mostly for myself. My life has definitely been a series of twists and turns in the past two years.
Just to give you the highlights: the whole of 2023, I was part of a year-long cybersecurity fellowship. It was, without any doubt, the most stretching, uncomfortable, and pressure-packed experience I have ever had. I learned to go beyond my self-imposed limits, develop a growth mindset, and exercise raw GRIT. Amidst it all, I couldn’t find time to meet you on the pages of this newsletter, and for that, I am truly sorry.
After a challenging yet transformative 2023, 2024 brought its own unique challenges and rewards, ultimately leading to the clarity I now have. After spending most of the year feeling stunted and frustrated by my job, I finally quit in September. I wouldn’t have guessed how liberating and empowering that decision would be. Since then, I have graduated from an 8-week virtual assistant training, a 6-week AI Career Essentials program, a month-long hands-on project management boot camp, joined a vibrant freelancer coaching community, and attained certifications in project management, workflow optimization, and customer success. It’s been a career-clarifying journey.
Since 2021, I have been actively pivoting my career—through trial and error—from anything accounting (which is what I studied in university) to so many things. Have you ever felt stuck in a job that no longer serves you? What bold steps have you taken to break free? For me, after pivoting from accounting to sales and marketing, sales administration, and operations management, I can now finally say I have found a career I completely love: project management. I have found the one ??.
In the past four months, I have found clarity not only for my career but also for my personal life. In 2025, I want to show up as nothing short of my authentic self. I want to invest my energy in doing the things that light up my soul. One of those things is writing this newsletter—sharing my thoughts and my learnings with you. I would like us, you and I, to hold each other accountable again on the pages of this newsletter.
The message of this newsletter hasn’t changed: “You are the rescue team you have been waiting for!” I am here to remind you of your own power. You have self-accountability as leverage. If you cultivate it as a lifelong habit and attitude, you can truly design the life of your dreams.
In the past two years that I have been away, I learned something new about self-accountability. It is not enough to understand that you hold the power to change your life in your hands—you also need to exercise that power. Do the things you said you are going to do. Self-accountability cannot only be in theory. You can’t hold yourself fully accountable by just what you know, but also by what you do.
I don’t know about you, but I, like many others, am guilty of excitedly setting New Year’s resolutions and goals only to forsake them by February. Going back to just talking about what I will do but never really doing it. Isn’t it tiring? That cycle of just talking a big game but having nothing to show for it? It really is.

That’s why I’m going to use this little corner to help us actually do the things we said we’re going to do. We will get to the root of why we struggle to follow through with our plans and goals. We will uproot anything that’s weighing us down. We will finally hold ourselves accountable by doing the things we said we will do.
Ralph Waldo Emerson’s famous quote sums it up perfectly: “Do the thing, and you shall have the power.”
The power to change our lives, the confidence to do it, and the competence to maintain it come from doing the things we said we are going to do. The more we do, the more powerful we become. Holding ourselves accountable in this way is life-changing because it builds trust. The more you do, the more you trust yourself to do more. Before you know it, you will be a living manifestation of your wildest dreams.
Alright, partner, I'll catch you in the next article. I hope we have a great time learning from each other this year.
What’s one thing you’ve been putting off that you’ll take action on today? Let’s commit to doing what we said we will do, one step at a time.
Remember, “You are the rescue team you have been waiting for!”
