This could be due to a mismatch in skills, a change in company direction, or personal circumstances that make the current role untenable. The key is to ensure that this process is as supportive as possible. Provide assistance, resources, and guidance to help them transition smoothly to their next opportunity.

Handling departures with care maintains trust and morale among the remaining team members. They see that their leaders are focused on the bottom line as well as the human side of the organisation.
