Do the right thing, Do whatever it takes and Have fun

At Jack Henry, we are driven by a few simple pillars.

This weekend I was reminded of those pillars. On Saturday around mid-day, I received a call from on our our people who needed help on a customer effort. We were in a rut and he needed help. He needed someone to join the on site team and do so as quickly as possible. He knew his request was difficult. Knew it would be an unpopular ask given it is a holiday weekend, but he showed courage and made the request anyhow. Chad Killingsworth, you did the right thing by asking.... At no time were we consumed by thinking this could not happen. We just focused on making it happen.

There were lots of logistical hoops to jump through in order to make this happen. First, we needed to find the right resource. Our leadership team entrusted Shane Daniels to help us identify the right person. Justin Kimbrough was quickly ready to go and do whatever it takes. He sacrificed his holiday weekend to put the needs of a customer first. An excellent example of Servant Leadership. In tandem, our world class Travel team headed by Brian Hunter enlisted Christie Dawson to make this happen. Christie was having fun watching some basketball while at the same time making all the travel plans happen. A perfect example of work/life integration which happens all the time here. Within minutes Captains Kyle Venti and Greg Skiles were ready to take Justin where he needed to be.

As challenging as this was for us to make happen, it took us less than an hour to finalize our plan and align all the resources. I attribute this to the passion we all have for each other and our customers. All things Jack and Jerry taught from the very beginning. It gives me a great sense of pride to say I'm part of this team.
