Do They Really??

We’ve all seen this or have dozens in our closets. A hanger from your local dry cleaner with the statement, “WE ?? OUR CUSTOMERS” which is a powerful statement… but is it true?

Do they love their clients? Do you LOVE your clients? Do you actually treat them with all the characteristics that reflect what “love” truly means? What the heck is love anyway?

I asked Siri what love is and her response was, “a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude.”

I think the biggest missing piece of this definition is “servitude” and living a life for someone in service to their needs and interests. When we love family members for instance we typically live to serve them at high levels. This shows up powerfully during the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas when we shower each other with gifts, serve one another at dinner, clean up after each other, etc.?

Having a business provides us with an opportunity to “serve” others in similar ways. If we raise it to the level of “love” we can heighten the experience, not only for the clients whom we serve but also for ourselves.?

Next time you’re picking up a call or responding to a client who may be in a “mood” think of this message, “We ?? Our Customers” because I truly believe that this is a KEY characteristic that will help you, your staff, your business, your community, and the world long term.
