Do pepole with dementia suffer ?

During the day I try my best to function as normal as possible, sometimes without much success, but I get there somehow, sometimes shuffling, my spatial awareness is all over the place and my balance, at times almost none existent, thank goodness I have a very good carer when I go fishing. Some of this is down to my dementia, but some due to sheer exhaustion, and here's why...........

The last five nights i have suffered from terrible night terrors and hallucinations

Night one.... Blackened figures were erupting from the curtains, flying above my head, attacking me taunting me,

Night Two.... Standing in a room full of people, staring at one particular looking gent, normal kind of bloke, unassuming and well dressed, then suddenly realizing it was the devil himself in human form, watching as his smile turned to menacing grin, teeth yellowed, eyes burning and as he pointed right at me, a hysterical laugh coming from the base of his throat, mocking me, knowingly taunting me, beckoning me ever closer as I moved towards him, pushed by some unseen force from behind, ever closer

Night three.... transported to a place so unimaginably awful, knowing I will never see anybody again, a wilderness of nothingness, cold, and Barron

Night four...... Punching, screaming and kicking all around me who are there to harm my family, knowing its a fight to the end, coming around in the front room, bathed in sweat and crying so hard

Night Five.... watching a person walk into the sea to die, body floating, zooming into their face and watching them speak as they pass away but can't hear what they are saying, helpless to do anything

After every bad night, i have flashbacks many times during the day, unexpectedly most of the time and terrifying me, making me jump.

To those who say don't use the word "SUFFERING " when mentioning the word DEMENTIA ???

Please think again

Your descriptions of your condition are so vivid and helpful to those of us who have no idea what it is like to have dementia.
