There is scientific evidence available to state that people with acne prone skin in their youthful years have tall telomeres in their white blood cells giving a protective effect to the cells and delaying their deterioration. Gene scientists have observed a direct association between taller telomeres and slower aging. But considering this as the only factor responsible for aging is not correct as Aging is a complex maze that is influenced by various factors namely genetic makeup, lifestyle, diet and environmental triggers.

It is said that oily people have acne and hence they look younger comparatively with time.
What about people with dry skin who have hormonal acne?
Oily skin is more acne prone due to high sebum content but alone sebum isn’t responsible for acne rather hormones namely androgens also fluctuate to cause acne by causing sebum production even in those with dry skin. Also dry skin is at a higher risk of inflammation that can cause acne. Heavier use of moisturizers or creams to combat dryness can also add to skin irritation and bump formation.
Best way to deal with acne?
A combination of lifestyle changes and good skin care routine helps to deal best with acne. Use a gentle cleanser at least twice a day, exfoliate it a few times a week, keep it well moisturized and apply a SPF cream whenever you step outdoors.
