Do-Over’s & Second Chances
“It’s always your next move.” - - Napoleon Hill
People sometimes deny themselves the opportunity of a second chance.
Notice it doesn’t read that other people deny them a second chance at something. It says they themselves deny themselves the opportunity for a do-over.
Often it's because of the fear of failure.
We don’t like to fail, but failing is part of the learning curve. When you learned to hit a ball with a bat, how many times did you miss? But your father, or mother, or brother or sister, or somebody, kept throwing you the ball until you learned how to do it.
Of course, not everything can be re-done. You can only go to your first prom once; and you can’t change the past. But, if you make a mistake, or know you can do it better, and want a re-do, in many cases the only person you need to ask permission from is yourself.
- Is there something you wish you could do over?
- What would you like a second chance at?
- Is it really too late (too whatever) to try again?
- What’s (Who’s) really stopping you?
"What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?" -- Unknown
"It's hard to beat a person who never gives up." -- Babe Ruth
Best wishes for success!
