As a golfer, I have had plenty of do-over moments. If you play golf you have undoubtedly heard the saying that second guy is pretty good! My life went pretty smoothly until I hit 50 when I had do-over moments personally and professionally. It was a tough process to go through. John Maxwell talks about do-overs and quoted an industry leader:
If I had a chance to do things over I am not sure I would. The wrong decisions became a refining process in my life:
Our failures in life cause us to fix things in our life that aren't right. As the scripture says all things work together for good. That means even the bad decisions and bad judgment can refine us to make us a better person. When John Wooden was asked do you regret decisions you have made in your life he responded, I regret no decisions I have made in my life. He went on to say you didn't ask me if I made all good decisions. Wooden said he learned more from the bad decisions he made than some of the good decisions he made. The good decisions continually propel you to success and the bad decisions propel you toward improvement. He has a great quote that is a great lesson to live by
"Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out."
Wow, that is worth reading again. I close with a quote from John Maxwell who says
Our aim in life is not to go thru life making perfect decisions, our aim in life is to go thru it fulfilling our calling and growing and becoming a better person in that process.
Some of the bad stuff that has happened to you might just be some of the good stuff that has happened to you.
?Have a great week!
