Do Our Senses Make Us A Great Leader?

"Pheromones aren't a legend. Individuals choose if they like somebody after a sniff."

The above quote is so eloquently expressed by @Arijit Bhattacharyya, who describes himself as a serial entrepreneur, technologist, angel investor, philanthropist, TEDx speaker, Global VC, Gov't Advisor, Startup Mentor, Consultant to Banks, International Speaker, AI, Game, SDG, VR, XR, Metaverse, NFT... I am sure there will be more descriptors to follow his name as he continues to evolve his soul.

This is a man who knows people and understands how we are engineered. When we are faced with new people, like a hiring manager, a server, co-worker, potential partner and whether we are trained in 'soft skills,' SEL, mindful presence, yogic philosophy, meditation, or spiritual bypassing, we either feel a coherence, a connection... or not. This connection to our senses, is physiological and creates a cellular knowingness that is deep to our core essence. This 'I like you or I don't' on first meet truly informs where we spend our time.

My children can tell immediately when I have zero interest and am particularly turned off to a specific individual. I am able to feel myself either pull back or jump in, not from my mind as in a decision, but from my senses. Some may call it 'first impression' yet what I rely upon as a broad stroke yet. I trust our encoded nature and feel it ought to be relied upon more as it is part of our engineered nature. This is information that goes beyond intellect. It is our truest, most basic nature, based in science. Imagine more leaders trained to learn how to tap into their gut wisdom, their ability to 'smell a rat' or to simply trust when the 'kinship factor' is present or absent and whether it serves as a soothing presence or an irritant. This needs no proof as to why it exists, except to recognize that it does. Pheromones are simply chemicals that a living being produces that influence and often times changes the behavior of another within the same species. Simply said, "The nose knows."

Honor it.

Intuition aka 'The Metaphoric Sniff' informs beyond words, and invites us to awaken the leader within, but only when we use the currency of our attention. Developing the skill to refine and rest in our awareness that we are always leaders in our own lives as it shows us where, what, how, why and who to align with. We can make our unconscious, conscious, so we can pheromonally lead others.

Pay attention to all your senses so you can authenticate and vibe with those you know will be part of your sniffing orbit. But know, you will keep company with those you fall in love with at first sniff.
