Do this one thing to make adults (and young people) listen to you during your seminars

Many speakers get this wrong.

They want to go into schools.

They want to make an impact in young people.

They have a powerful message to share.

However.

They are boring as hell!

Not even adults listen and engage with them.

Let alone, young people.

I have just finished the speaking gig 3/7 of my monster week.

Just because you have a message it does not mean you are a speaker.

The question is: “How do you become a great speaker for adults and young people like me?”

The answer is:

Wait for it

Forget you are a speaker and forget about your message!

You are now thinking: “Simone this is crazy!! So tell me... what shall I focus on?”

Ok ok...

I will tell you...

Forget you are a speaker and start seeing yourself as an ENTERTAINER!

Yes!

Focus on entertaining your audience rather than teaching and they will love you forever!

And what is the best way to entertain an audience?

Think about it...

It’s playing games with them!

Children, young people and adults all love games.

What if you could make all your content a game for the audience?

And you become the referee that keeps tracks of scores and points?

This is one way to do it and for me, definitely one of the most effective.

Now ask yourself.

What can I do to entertain more?

Then follow the answer and get it done.

Remember, it’s all about action!

I would love to know your best tips to entertain an audience.

Please leave a comment with your best practices.

Thank you Simone, I agree that entertainment is great for engagement. I like to ask questions and promote discussions so my talks are more like workshops. I think about the emotional impact of my talk too. Usually creating some disruption to wake them up to their unconscious patterns but always leaving them with actions to take away so they are in a good place. It's not exactly entertaining but it's engaging and ensures they get some insight into themselves.
