"Do one thing every day that scares you." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
As we welcome in the new year, we often think about what we've done in the past year and where we are headed. Sometimes, we are celebrating a fantastic year. Sometimes, we are grateful it is in the rear view mirror.?
I'm not one for New Year's resolutions. I think we set ourselves up to fail when we put too much pressure on ourselves. Instead, I like to think about a healthy lifestyle that is fulfilling and calm. My word for the year is peace and I plan to relish that.?
We also know that small, incremental changes are more powerful and likely to stick than big, grandiose ones. As you really dig into this new year, I encourage you to add one element of MOXIE to your routine. Maybe you will focus on ease.?

A few months ago. I added a daily meditation to my routine before I get out of bed. I'd been meditating randomly for years, but I hadn't fully committed to a daily practice. I made a conscious decision to meditate daily, not just when I thought about it when it was convenient. I added the Insight Timer app that has thousands of free guided meditations. I love that it tracks when I meditate and for how long. I don't get a perfect daily record, but I have meditated for more than 1,300 minutes and 100 days since I started using this app. I encourage you to check it out. It took my random meditating to consistent and intentional.
I also hope you found a way to let go of the past year and welcome in the new one. Last spring, I had the chance to raft the might Colorado in the Grand Canyon. It was spectacular. What will you do this year to push the envelope?
