Do it Now!

Yesterday I saw an implantologist (I know ... sounds expensive doesn't it) to address what my dentist saw during a routine dental checkup.
My dentist was sure I had a "screw loose" on a tooth implant I had done quite a while ago.
Being told I have a "screw loose" is not something new for me as you could confirm with my wife and children.
OK. These messages are supposed to help you grow your business and it may seem like I'm off on a tangent but hang in there.
Maine is pretty sparsely populated so I drove an hour and a half to see the implantologist for an evaluation.
He confirmed I had a loose screw and then asked ... "Would you like me to take care of it NOW?"
Having driven the distance I did that sounded like a perfect plan so he drilled to access the screw, cleaned things up, tightened the screw and off I went. Good as new.
So how can you and I learn something we can apply in our business?
1) He showed genuine concern for the time I took to travel to see him and didn't want me to make another trip.
2) He made me feel like I was his only patient in accommodating me.
3) He really seemed obsessed with customer service. A good obsession to have.
4) And last but not least he explained in advance what he was going to do and seemed extremely qualified.
But his practice didn't stop there.
When I got home I had an email from his office asking, "How'd we do?". I filled out his online review and saw he had an average rating of 4.9 out of 5. Not surprising.
In almost every aspect of our business and life erring on the side of "Do it Now!" will serve us well. "Do it Now" can help us seize those precious moments and opportunities that, if lost, may never be realized.
