Great keynote session today by Satya Nadella at the Microsoft Inspire Conference. So many great announcements coming from Microsoft. Below are a few notes and comments.

Microsoft announced their initiative to "Do More with Less" which is about amplifying what can be done across an organization so they can build resilience. He highlighted 5 digital imperatives for every organization to do more with less using the Microsoft platform.

Satya Nadella said, "the next 10 years won't be like the last 10 years. Digital technology is a deflationary force in an inflationary economy. It is the only way to navigate the headwinds we are facing today".

It's all about accelerating digital capabilities across every function in the organization.

Nadella said, "This is the age of AI". Hybrid work is here to stay.?73% of workers want flexible remote options to stay. Every organization requires a digital fabric that includes People, Places and Processes.

Nadella also announced three new features coming to Microsoft Teams in the very near future.

Microsoft Teams Collaborative Annotation

Collaborative annotation is powered by Microsoft Whiteboard and provides the ability to engage on any content with screen share in a Teams meeting. It enables meeting participants to draw on content shared during the meeting. They can also highlight content and place post it notes on the screen. Collaborative annotation is now in public preview.

Here are the steps to use annotation while sharing in Teams

Video clip so you can capture and edit a short personalized. Video clips can then be shared in chats. Video clips are very much like a video voicemail. If you have ever used Loom to record and share a quick video, its very similar. Video clips can be up to 1 minute in length.

Microsoft Teams is getting a new Excel Live feature which allows meeting participants to edit an Excel worksheet in real-time from a meeting window without needing to leave Teams. Meeting participants do not need Excel installed or running on a device to be able to edit the worksheet.

Collaborative apps boost employee productivity saving hours per week per employee. A direct boost to each companies bottom line.
