Do Macs get viruses?

I’m the least IT like person you’re likely to meet! Would you like to join the IT happy league? Drop me a line on 01903 259923.
So, what is the answer? Do you know?
I’ve listened to some pretty interesting theories from Mac fans over the years.?But it is important to remember that the criminals and cyber thugs (one word amongst many I can use), target the lowest hanging fruit when trying to maximise damage.?Whether that be to break your computer and spread their work or steal data at best or money at worst.?So historically Macs have been ‘off the radar’ as there are FAR more Windows computers out there, so why target a smaller minority.
Let’s not start on the number of Windows computers that have insufficient security protection.?It’s quite common to see machines with expired anti-virus protection and I have heard the line “oh I was going to do that at the weekend and renew the subscriptionâ€.?Well, the anti-virus protection we offer is based on a rolling monthly service paid on Direct Debit, so it never runs out.
However back to the topic in hand.?I created a short video to cover it, and if you’re a Mac user, or you have team members using them, show them this video, it could be food for thought.?But if you have any questions about it, comment below.
