The extent of being productive does not lie only in the realm of choosing those specific goals and tasks. Focus on the job at hand often requires discipline and structure. Through systematic planning and assuring that distractions are kept at a minimum, pivoting to choosing what not to do has become even more important.
Denying that we have been catapulted into a fast-paced world of business and life, time is a precious commodity that can either be an asset or a liability.
However you look at it, time is money. There are always ways to make (more) money yet time is lost once you do not make maximum use of its value.
The tsunami of influences, the power of the digital era , sucking us more and more into scrolling without a purpose, and the more we understand about our human way of thinking and behaving comes at a productivity cost.
Hence, the more reason to start working on Not To Do lists, instead of to-do lists.?
After all, we’re constantly busy so there is always something going on. Let me weave further on last week’s first chapter of what not to do.
Gossip and irrelevant discussions are also on my "Not To Do" list. We engage more in elaborate meetings and relaxation corners where these two time-wasters are fueled effortlessly. Randomly seeing where the wind is blowing when the evening and morning have arrived are certainly assignments I tend to discard and add to my not-to-do list. The number of advantages of planning your evening consciously for the following day, and not being buried in the latest news online, have increased productivity.?

Mingling with the hip and cool crowd also is discarded once I define this as not working in my favour. Similar-minded people tend to see boosts of productivity and clearer goal setting, alongside that much-needed support we all can benefit from, once they can be held accountable for their actions.
A Not To Do - fall into the trap of the fashionable and try to wiggle into a group of influencers for the sake of staying up-to-date and becoming one of them. Only when it brings one forward to his/her goal, is it a waste of time and energy. Dare to be bold and cast aside those no longer serving you.
The art of success lies not only in what you do but equally in what you consciously choose not to do. Implementing a "Not To Do" list fosters discipline, consistency, and a strategic approach to time management.?
By adhering to this list, I certainly have witnessed a transformative impact on my business and life, and I hope these insights prove beneficial to others on their entrepreneurial journey.
