Do I really need a website?
Lindi van Heerden
Empowering young individuals to live a purpose-driven life ??
Well at the first glance the obvious answer would be yes, yes and HELL YES! I am an advocate of this to all my clients. Most of them already have websites so I make sure to emphasise how important it is to keep it fresh, informative and relevant.
Your website is a highly effective marketing tool that can be very cost-efficient. It is something that you have to maintain and make small changes on a continues basis but in general, you can create a website once and use it for YEARS to come. You can use your website as a tool to direct people to other platforms and give them all your business information without lifting a finger.

Consumer behaviour has changed to adapt to the digital age. People “Google” your company or just your services and within seconds they have the world of information at their fingertips. What if you do not exist within the digital world? Does that even mean you exist at all?
Most of the consumers go online to find international businesses, services, advice but they also go online to find the local business, opening times, prices, and the different movies that show at the cinema. They buy aeroplane tickets, make payments and share the most intricate details of their lives on social media. Being online has evolved from being an added bonus to an absolute essential. If your customers can not find your business, your operating hours, location or services, you are now frustrating your customer. The same frustration as walking into a hotel and having no one at reception. No one to answer your questions or point you in the right direction.
Being online has evolved from being an added bonus to an absolute essential.
Here are 10 things your website can do for you.
- Create an online presence.
- Help build trust with your current and potential clients.
- Get listed on search engines which make you easily found.
- Point of contact when they need to ask questions or make a sale.
- Leverage social networks, show them that you are a brand that they can associate with.
- Great way to build your email list, and create a loyal group of listeners.
- Customer convenience, so that they choose you over your competitors.
- Easy access to new customers, so that you can serve your customers where they are.
- Show your personality, and make you a brand to be reckoned with.
- Your business will look more professional and modern.
So now that I have shown you everything your website can do for you I will get back to my first question, does your business really need a website? And my answer is No. You do not need it. If you, for example, have a local hair salon, you have so many clients that you need to turn people away and are not interested in growing or expanding. Then, no you probably do not. If you feel like your business and lifestyle are exactly where you want to be at this point in your life, then no you do not need a website.
BUT if you do feel like you want to expand, grow and reach new audiences and enlighten your current customers, on a whole new level, keep an eye out for all the killer content coming your way. We will make sure your website, amazes and engages your customers to a new level.
