Do I really need a website?

Do I really need a website?

Starting a business is an uphill task. The first thing that usually comes to mind when starting a business or after starting it is, Do I need a website or should I start with social media? Now some of you will have a website and some of you don't. As sometimes cost makes your pocket uncomfortable. So I jolted a few points that why you need a website and how it can have an impact on your business?

In this digital era, the website is your online store and your domain is the address of that store.

It gives you credibility and allows the customers to know you and your brand. Everybody does their research before purchasing, just like we do. Your customers should feel safe in purchasing your service or product. It doesn't matter how strong your social media game is, if you don't have the website, you will lose customers. The customer you will never know about because they were not able to trust you.

Why do I need a website? I have a substantial social media presence OR I am getting enough order/bookings by using third party websites.

I get this a lot!

There is no problem with that, especially if you are at the initial stage of your business but after a certain point, you need to work on your brand.

Third-party websites work well for you because they have established their brand and the traffic volume is very high on those sites. There is no reason why you can't also get that amount of traffic with a strategy and consistent effort. Your brand will become well known and very popular with the right guidance. Do you want that?

Please understand this. Use third party websites, social media or anything that can help you get more sales, but keep working on your brand. Make sure you are regularly updating your website, your UI/UX(User interface and user experience, how users perceive and interact with your website) is up to mark. If you are struggling with that, I am here to help you. If your sales numbers are very low from your website. The first thing I ask is...

When was the last time you checked your website traffic? Do you know the number of visitors you are getting? It's time to find that out.

Once you check that, compare that with a number with sales you made from the website. If there is a big difference it means people are visiting but they are not buying, so the website needs some work.

If the difference is low it means the website is well-made but needs more users. We will discuss this another day!

To conclude....There are two things which you should focus on.

1. How to develop an engaging website

2. How to develop a customer-centric website?

This will enable you to reach a stage where you don't have to tell people about your products and services. People should come to you with their inquiries.

Let me know what do you think. Is your website is generating enough business for you? If not, it's time for you to introspect and do some changes.

Our primary goal is to help you reach that level. With our support and knowledge, this is definitely achievable. Ping me. Justina or Danielle anytime for the queries. Happy to help.

Good one Jagpreet Singh! You’ve explained it all so well. And since you know me, I’ve always developed my blog as my central presence. I was active on Twitter and Facebook and now I’m not. But my website is one place that’ll always be mine. It’s a great asset to have for any business or personal branding

Depends on the kind of business you are, but with a good social media presence you can operate without a website for a time being.?
