DO I NEED MAKE-UP ON FOR A HEADSHOT?

When preparing for a headshot session, my clients often ask about adding professional makeup or hair styling before the session takes place, and the truthful answer is, it’s entirely up to you!

In short, I wouldn’t go so far to say makeup is required for your session but I do think if you wear it everyday then make sure you have it on in your headshot, if you don’t wear it often then a good moisturizer should do just the job. 

Don’t forget what your images are really for. Although you want to look and feel nice they will be used to:

Create the right first impressions on your social media profiles, Build personal brand awareness on your company website, Build potential relationships within your company brochures, Relate to your ideal clients with professional photography and they’re photographs that will tell the story of your business.
