Do I Belong on the A List?
Since the pandemic I returned to movie theaters. I would not have seen A Quiet Place Part Two in theaters if it could have been released in March 2020 as originally planned.
It was enjoyable and I don't know if I need to see the prequel. AMC Theaters has an advertisement to join the paid AMC Stubs for ninety-nine cents. Next month it would go to the regular price- around twenty-five dollars per month. I can afford that.
Makes more sense than applying to a streaming service. Some months there are many movies worth seeing. Other times the movies are for someone else. If I saw three movie per week it would stop being fun and there would be some movies I am not passionate about seen to justify what I am paying.
The advantage of The A List is there are no charges for IMAX, Dolby or 3D movies. It has a lot more value than LinkedIn Premium. It is also good if you regularly buy concessions.
Regal Unlimited costs less per month. They have specials for 2D movies. If I could see 4DX movies on the plan it would be worth it. I have not seen movies in 4DX. RPX is better than CMX's D Box format.
I enjoy visiting different theaters and chains. I would not want to commit to any given chain. Taking advantage of Discount Tuesday tickets cost seven dollars. The upgrade is good for one or two guests, not for a family.
This sounds like a decent offer. I enjoy having movies as one part of my life. I don't want to make going to the movies a part time job. It's like the allure of 1K status on United. I could fly enough to reach the top tier. It's going to cost twenty thousand or more and take up almost all my time.

The most I traveled led me to reach Gold status or what it was back then. I flew too much while I had a bad job. The trips were good. I returned to a crummy job where no one cared that I spent a long weekend in New Orleans or Belize City. Am I going to upgrade?
Not yet. This is not "No". Pushy salesmen on this site never understand that people could do business in the future. Right now I can alternate theater chains and if it makes sense to sign up for a three month contract- the way to tell if it is worth it is if I renew. For now, I'll keep going to the movies and attain points at a lower tier.
The prize is the discount and seeing movies that are worthwhile. Some look marginally interesting and I don't make it to the theater. They will be as good next year or sometimes next month on cable.
Warner Brothers movies are on HBO so quickly a movie has to be urgent to see in theaters. Dune brought me to two theaters. I have not revisited Part One since then. At some point I'll watch both together. They were good experiences on the big screen.
I stopped buying music years ago. Concerts became too expensive and movies lost their luster. Most were fine to see on airplanes a couple months later. At this point I rarely watch movies on flights. Maybe international because it is a longer flight.
It is enjoyable seeing movies on the silver screen. If I am inclined to join the AMC stubs A List I shall. If not; they still elicit my business. Win win although it sounds like a good option in the future.
