Do I believe in Climate Change? Do You?
First let me state that I do not believe that Climate Change is the foremost threat to America or the World. But it is becoming of grave concern that we are still in a time when we have the ability to change the course.
In Wikipedia, Climate Change is defined as follows:
Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time (i.e., decades to millions of years). Climate change may refer to a change in average weather conditions, or in the time variation of weather around longer-term average conditions (i.e., more or fewer extreme weather events). Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as "global warming".
Scientists actively work to understand past and future climate by using observations and theoretical models. A climate record—extending deep into the Earth's past—has been assembled, and continues to be built up, based on geological evidence from borehole temperature profiles, cores removed from deep accumulations of ice, floral and faunal records, glacial and periglacial processes, stable-isotope and other analyses of sediment layers, and records of past sea levels. More recent data are provided by the instrumental record. General circulation models, based on the physical sciences, are often used in theoretical approaches to match past climate data, make future projections, and link causes and effects in climate change.
The interesting part of the definition as it applies today is the discussion on global warming. It would seem that the samples that scientists have taken show two stories. One story says that CO2 is rising and the other says that CO2 has risen before. To me I also see that these samples are from a limited area and that in itself to me does not represent a true picture. Have I seen the weather patterns changing, yes, but is that man or Mother Nature? I do know of Acid Rain and the destruction that it caused but that has been for the most part taken care of. But there is one thing that I can see and believe in and that is man’s need to destroy his own home, his own species.
The sea is the life of this earth. These oceans that we dump everything into and kill the trillions of microscopic organisms give up the air (O2) we breathe. The trees and grass and plants that we destroy to build our million dollar homes, factory’s and cities give us the air (O2) that we breathe. If we destroy and eliminate these two elements of the planet we will surly die. These two areas of mans interaction with our environment must be addressed and a real plan, one that is economy feasible as well as practical with the technology we have, used to resolve the issues and save these resources not just for ourselves, but future generations.
We cannot continue dumping into the oceans, period! While we can say that it will dissolve and be absorbed, and while that is true if you have 100’s of years, it is changing the chemistry of the Ocean. This chemical change is a fact, not fiction and this is getting worst every year. Being that the Oceans control the weather, the two are inter-related and that is where I think that we should concentrate our efforts. To stop dumping into the Ocean would be easy as long as we have a way to dispose of the waste. This video gives two examples. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00nlv6Aceqw
Human waste dumped into the ocean is a major cause of the chemical change. We have the ability to turn human waste into biogas and fertilizer that could be used in place of today fertilizers. The key here is to maximize to our ability with the technology we have and the technology we can invent to utilize our natural resources to their fullest extent. We can do it; all we need is the leadership and will. Green Community Development has found a Bioreactor Cube to handle this by turning waste into biogas.
The second part is the plants and trees that are destroyed to build to accommodate human habitation, and work. The destruction of Green Areas is causing a CO2 issue in the northern hemisphere that is affecting the climate to a degree. We have the capability to reverse this and operate within the limits that the planet can absorb.
To totally eliminate the CO2 problem in the Northern Hemisphere we would need 2 billion square feet (46,000 acres) of Green Community Development growing cubes (6,250,000 Cubes) to accomplish this. The exchange of CO2 to produce O2 in the cubes would absorb the CO2 during winter months leaving the air clean for human consumption and food for the local community. The reduction in the carbon footprint by using this model and minimal transportation of food products can be significant. But there are many other benefits.
The American economy is in shambles. Jobs are in areas concentrated around major Cities. This alone creates an overload of the capabilities of the multiple systems that must service these areas. Power, water and sewer take on a scale that is almost impossible to be efficient. Waste energy, water and much more are compounded by the scale and can attribute to an overall efficiency of less than 60%. Up to 40% of the resources are wasted, unacceptable if we are to survive as a species.
The workforce and therefore the resources must be spread evenly across the nation. By spreading out of these Green Community Development facilities, jobs, power and food can all become part of the local economy. It would allow green space to remain green as there would be no need to “clear” additional land for use. The process would create almost a near zero carbon footprint once installed as workers would commute a short distance.
America must look to a different model that looks inward to make America Great Again. Would it not be better to use the trillions on welfare to employ able body people to build a new infrastructure? It will take the courage of many and the private money of a few to bypass the nonsense that we now call normal and save America from itself. Ask yourself a question, if I make a billion dollars today and 30 days later the world collapses, what good is your billion dollars? Help me to begin the change that could change the world.

9 年I am in agreement with your take on climate change. I do however disagree that the American economy is in shambles. I am interested in reading about your proposals and would like to learn more about them.
